Welcome to BM Animals where pet parents can be confident that what they are purchasing will be healthy for their fur-babies.
One of the questions we are often asked is "why do you do this?" or "How did BM come to be?" so here is "OUR STORY".
During 2009-10 we often travelled through a small town called Campbells Creek near Castlemaine and we always drove past an intriguing looking used book shop but never had the time to stop. Then one day when John was working on an assignment for a canine based course, he pulled over with the aim of tracking down some reference material. Instead he stumbled on a small, very well read, dog eared book that grabbed his full attention to the point that he HAD to read it the minute we got home. In fact he stayed up most of the night reading and then proudly declared "I have to read it again, and this time take notes!" I should add that I needed to read it too - if only to see what the excitement was about!
This little book opened our minds to the fact that our pets bodies can heal themselves with the right fuel (FOOD). They must be supplied with the right nutrients, vitamins, minerals, trace elements, probiotics, enzymes, amino acids, fatty acids etc which are contained in an AVAILABLE form in REAL, BIOLOGICALLY APPROPRIATE FOOD, just the way that nature intended them to eat.
Even though we had always had an interest in natural animal health and nutrition, this little book opened our minds to so much more.
Initially what we read reduced us both to tears after we realised that so many of our beloved past pets had suffered unnecessarily, making their lives so much shorter and more painful than they needed to be.
So the never ending thirst for knowlege began and BM Animals was born! And we will continue to learn and provide your pets and ours with the very best food & treats that we can to allow optimum health and vitality.
We are often asked "What does BM stand for?" - it is actually Bon Manna, a play on words meaning Good Food and we believe that this is very appropriate name. However, if that's hard to remember just think of Best Mates - who are always there for us, giving us their love unconditionally and certainly deserve the best nutrition.

Opening Hours are Tuesday to Friday from 9am to 6pm and we are open on weekends from 9am to 4pm.
