Australia's ancient soils have been naturally depleted of certain trace minerals for many years. Free-grazing cattle are often deficient in these trace minerals simply through lack of availability in their diet, causing a deficiency in their meat for our pets. To ensure your dog gets all the trace minerals they need, we recommend adding some Natural Dried Kelp to their diet.
Kelp naturally contains the full range of trace minerals and elements your dog may require. Supplementing their diet with this broad supply ensures your dog is getting the full range they could possibly need. As these nutrients are in their chelated into complexes and are therefore the most bioavailable, your dog's body will absorb what they need at the time and will simply urinate out what they don't need!
PLEASE NOTE: Kelp naturally contains iodine, an element that can build up in your dog's system without being urinated out. To avoid Iodine build up, please ensure to not overdose your dog on Kelp Powder, and look for iodine in any other supplements you may feed.
Kelp is added into the majority of our pre-made meals, so you do not need to worry about adding it yourself. For home-made diets, or our 80:10:10 Mix, we do recommend the addition of some Kelp.
